For so many people, the outdoors awakens a gentle, non-judgmental space within that draws us towards thoughts, feelings, and practices of well-being. Natural environments inspire us to cultivate awe, compassion, empathy, gratitude, mindfulness, social connection, and purpose.
I have found my relationship with the natural world essential in managing stress, grounding, and healing.
Practical, profound, quick, and effective change can come about as we recognize the powerful wisdom, grounded in scientific findings, that comes from slowing down, paying attention, and learning to listen to what the earth tells us. Even the passive experience of nature can have very beneficial effects.
